Chapter 10

Josh’s first thought when he woke up the next morning was that Heather was in his arms and she hadn't run away from him, again. He had felt the tension not only sexually but emotionally within her the moment she had walked into his hotel room. He knew he was taking a risk by having her come to his room, to having her in such a small space alone, but he was willing to risk it.

He had seen the desire in her eyes but also her hesitation. The need to get out of his room and fast. He had thought to let her go, to retreat and try again another day. But the moment he had seen her start to walk out of his room, he knew he couldn’t do that. He couldn’t spend another night without her in his arms. Not if he could help it.

She had been hesitant at first as he had kissed her, and he had waited with his breath held for her to push him away. Begging and hoping that she wouldn’t. She hadn’t, and they had shared another amazing time with each other. He hadn’t meant to fall asleep on her nor had he meant to sleep the entire night. He had plans that he wanted to do with her and they didn’t involve sleeping.

He rolled over and looked at her. Taking the time to be able to gaze at her without her watching him, without her worrying about what he might be thinking or scheming. There was no scheme with her as far as he was concerned, besides the one where she ended up next to him. Forever. He wasn’t sure how or why it had happened but he loved her and he wanted to be with her. He had never expected to fall in love, or for it to happen so fast, but it had.

The sound of his phone beeping caused him to jump out of bed. He didn’t want the phone to wake Heather, he had a few ideas of how to do that. He quickly went over to the phone and shut off the alarm. He normally would get up in the morning and go for a run, but he more than got a workout in the night before and he had no desire to leave his bed anytime soon. The only workout he wanted to have was the one with Heather.

It was a Saturday and wasn’t sure what Heather’s plans were but he hoped he could convince her to spend it with him. He was walking back towards her when she rolled over and stretched. The sight of the sheet falling away from her body and exposing her beautiful breasts, took his breath away.

She slowly opened her eyes and immediately looked over to his side of the bed. When she didn’t find him there, he said, “Good morning.”

Her eyes darted over to him and to his naked form. It was her turn to look at him with the utmost admiration.
